Tip of the Day – Filter the Sun
When photographing white dogs with backlight, to avoid blowing out (overexposing) the furry edges with rim light coming through from behind, try to filter the sunshine through the foliage of trees or bushes, rather than positioning the dog with it’s back in full sun. This gives a softer look while still clearly outlining the dog against the background.
