If you’re shooting in a wide open area on a clear day, don’t stop once the sun goes down! Twilight is longer on clear days and usually during summer, and the light is soft, giving some beautiful pastel tones in the sky. Because the sky isn’t as bright, it’s easier to balance the exposure of your subject and the sky too.
