A little bit of sun flare can lend elements of light and warmth to your backlit late afternoon shots – but don’t let the flare ruin your image by completely washing it out! Know how to control flare. It’s caused by direct light hitting the end of your lens, so place yourself in the shade or shade your lens with your hand to reduce it.
