Tip of the Day – Reducing flare and haze

When shooting with backlight, carefully position yourself so you are shaded to reduce flare and haze in the image. In this late afternoon shot, since the shadows were so long, I was able to crouch down in the shade of the owner and use her to shield my camera lens from direct sun.
