Tip of the Day – Meaningful locations
This daily tip series is brought to you by Barkarica – a pet photography retreat we ran in Costa Rica in February 2017. You can watch the behind-the-scenes video and read raving reviews here. When shooting for a client, think about what sort of locations would be meaningful for the owner, and try to capture shots that include scenes and background details. Flash the Poodle belongs to Janel, the owner of Rafiki Safari Lodge, and we started off photographing Flash around the grounds. Towards the end we took him up onto the deck area so the location would be more obvious – I just loved the use of wood everywhere in Costa Rica!
